    Our signature, thoroughly modern take on mead.

    This is our signature, thoroughly modern take on mead. Made with Spanish Orange Blossom honey, blended with water and then fermented through to 5.5%, our signature mead is light, crisp and refreshing.

    This is Tom’s first mead, and the one closest to his heart. (You can read more about he came up with the recipe here)
    What’s amazing about honey is that alongside it’s characteristic sweetness you also find a host of delicate floral and herbal notes from the nectar the bees have collected.
    By using Orange Blossom honey in our mead, we get all the flavor of the nectar from an orange grove in bloom in each bottle.

    What Sommelier Wine awards said:

    "One of this year's surprises: the lure and potential of mead. 'Lovely nose, honeyed, floral and fresh, though lighter on the palate with a long finish,' said Caroline Brangé of 28°-50° Mayfair, with Charles Pashby-Taylor of Dabbous agreeing: ‘Fresh honey aromas, lovely and refreshing, with a nice gentle, happy finish.' 'Hawthorn flowers, banana and ginger spice,' said team leader Angela Reddin: 'Could pair with halloumi or lighter scallop dishes.' Indeed."

    Gosnells Vintage Mead 2018

    £25.00

    Our first ever vintage mead, made with this years' raw honey from London.

    Our first vintage is made from 100% London honeys, sourced from hives in Woodberry Wetlands N16 and Lea Bridge Road E10, and brewed to a stronger, more celebratory 12.5%.

    Here's how Tom describes the flavour;

    “Our 2018 vintage is incredibly complex and deep, with notes of blackcurrant, sloe and a hint of spice. It has a totally different taste profile from our regular mead - its amazing to be able to taste the difference in the honey"

    Served in a 75cl wax sealed bottle, and in a special presentation box, this is a very limited product, with only 1200 bottles available.

    This product will be released from the meadery on Friday 30th November - pre-order now and your bottle will be delivered on the Friday, or pick up from our Peckham home.

    Perfect on it's own as a digestif, or used as a mixer 2:1 with soda, over ice.

    Just 25 bottles are available.
