In 2018 we created our first Vintage mead from two sets of hives in North London, and we've continued each year since.
This project is very close to our hearts - and we love working with raw London honey from the same source each year.
By using the same hives each year we can see how the honey changes from year to year and so how the mead we make from the honey changes.
Using the same fermentation techniques and taking honey from the hive at the same time each year allows us to really showcase the ever-changing urban environment of our diverse city.
This is a very special tasting, led online by one of the team via a pre-recorded video highlighting each mead, the brewing process, and the foods that can accompany the meads.
These meads have a variety of herbaceous and tropical aromas, blackberry, and melon flavours that leave a mellow and warming after taste.
Vintage 2018 This year's raw London honey gives this Vintage rich blackberry, melon, and herbaceous notes.
Vintage 2019 - This year's raw London honey gives our Vintage intense melon and tropical aromas, with complex floral and herbaceous notes with pronounced acidity.
Vintage 2020 - This year's raw London honey gives our vintage a light fruity body with a long full finish.
